I'm constantly amazed at the comments from travelers that I read at travel review sites. They start out preening over what a "great deal" they found on the internet and then proceed to rip the hotel because they got a room overlooking the parking lot! This isn't an isolated occurrence. It's rampant! Other than the "Golden Rule", I thought "You get what you pay for" was one of those adages that is tattooed into everyone's brain cells.
Which bring me to this sage advice: When booking your VACATION travel, USE A TRAVEL AGENT!
Comparing apples-to-apples, a good travel agent can outperform and normally underprice the major online agencies most of the time. Try it out! Do your research, find your best price on a complete package (air, transfers, & hotel), and THEN call a travel agent. Ask them to beat your price. Ask them what they think of the "package" you put together. In my experience, the agent will come up with better flights (can you say "non-stop?), in a better category of room, in a better rated hotel, at the same (if not better) price than you.
Now I know many will balk at the idea of actually picking up the phone in the internet age, so I've included links to online booking sites for the top rated tour companies to Riviera Nayarit (as rated by MY travel agent). Check them out here
